Small business ownership can be lonely at times, which is why courses, communities and networking events are so valuable.
They allow us to connect with likeminded people, discuss our learnings and experiences, and share our ideas so that we can all continue to grow, both professionally and personally.
So, here are some of the ones I’m loving right now.
Fresh Networking
This networking group is based all over the country, and gives business owners the opportunity to meet, speak and learn from those in their local area. The groups are small for the added personalisation factor, and members catch up over breakfast.
This shift away from the traditional corporate boardroom allows for genuine connections and relationships to be built, and there’s an inherent focus on knowledge sharing, so that everyone leaves armed with new tools and inspiration to grow their businesses. Fresh Networking has an online option too, so no matter where you’re based, you can get involved!
Little Stones
Ideal for ambitious women in biz, Little Stones is a digital community that focuses on working with and supporting women who are looking to develop both personally and professionally, and it focuses on the key pillars of health, money, relationships and work.
There are webinars, online workshops, and one I really recommend: regular dinners, where members (and non-members are invited, too) come together to chat, network and learn, all in a welcoming and uplifting setting.
Eastern Innovation (EI)
Innovate. Collaborate. Accelerate. These are the three words that underlie the offering and approach at Eastern Innovation in Melbourne’s Mulgrave. In a nutshell, they’re a co-working space with a difference.
Located across two buildings (and in close proximity to Monash University), EI provides innovators, founders and venture builders with the opportunity to connect both with each other and a wide range of mentors and advisors, so that we can learn and grow, all in a friendly, open, and inclusive environment.
They regularly host insightful events and workshops that are designed to help us grow sustainably, and ultimately thrive.
The Wealthy Woman
This course by Amanda Frances is all about financial empowerment for women, and is designed to help us re-establish our identity through inner work and our energetic state, so that we feel amazing about money coming to us. It shakes up preconceived ideas about the meaning and purpose of money.
It includes a series of inspiring and informative videos, which cover:
- Video 1 – Your evolution and limitless opportunities
- Video 2 – Deciding what works for you and how it works
- Video 3 – Becoming the wealthy woman
- Video 4 – Living as the wealthy woman
- Video 5 – The ease and embodiment of the wealthy woman
Business Chicks
Business Chicks isn’t only for entrepreneurs and small business owners, but all women in business, and women generally. They regularly host events with inspiring leaders across the country, share growth stories on their website, and their Latte magazine is filled with great inspo and advice. Plus, as a member you’ll also be able to connect with like-minded women both virtually and in person.
One Roof
Another great one for women in business, One Roof is a membership-based community that offers weekly events such as meetups, co-working, meditation and journaling, as well as regular, one-off masterclasses with experts in fields ranging marketing and legal, to ethics and business growth.
